JOB SUMMARY
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is looking for an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join their team at Clements University Hospital (CUH). This CNM will do triage, postpartum rounding and discharging, attend to vaginal deliveries, and serve as an OR first assistant for C-sections. At CUH, we provide a full range of patient-centered labor and delivery services, all with a focus on both mom and baby. If you enjoy being a part of helping new moms and their loved ones happily welcome their new addition as a CNM, this position could be for you! Schedule is variable. Rotating 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. There is a separate advanced practice provider incentive plan and shift differential program. Experience and Education
Master’s degree in nursing or related field or higher degree
Documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) by the Texas Board of Nursing to practice as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
Certification as a CNM by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or the American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM) Certification Council
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a CNM
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Current Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification.
Completion of a First Assist at Surgery education program certified by the Certification Board Perioperative Nursing (CBPN)
Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse First Assist (CRNFA) preferred
